The truth is that cashews occupy an interesting middle ground between indulgence and nutrition.

When eaten in moderation, cashews can provide a surprisingly wide range of health benefits. Packed with important minerals, healthy fats, antioxidants, and plant-based protein, they support several essential functions throughout the body. But like many nutrient-dense foods, their benefits depend heavily on how much you eat, how they are prepared, and how they fit into your overall diet.

Doctors and nutrition experts increasingly recognize that cashews can contribute positively to heart health, energy balance, bone strength, and even skin appearance when consumed thoughtfully. At the same time, overeating them — especially heavily salted or processed versions — may create problems that many people underestimate.

Understanding what cashews actually do inside the body helps explain why this small nut has developed such a strong reputation in modern nutrition.
